In the nature’s pantry of beauty, turmeric, perhaps, steals one of the most upper spots for its suitability in all skin types and conditions. Since timeworn days, turmeric skin mask has been in use in various cultures, age groups of women. Anti-bacterial properties are prominent in turmeric hence the piece bears beneficial effects in a bounty of skin problems.
Turmeric skin mask for acne
A high probability of people suffer from acne and acne related problems causing by the aftermath of acne break out. Hence, a turmeric skin mask, could be of high beneficiary to clear away blemishes and inflammation.
- ½ tea spoon turmeric powder/paste
- 1 tea spoon rice flour/gram flour
- 1 table spoon yogurt
- 1 tea spoon honey.
Mix all of those a bowl, avoiding lumps. If the mask seems too thick, add more yogurt in it.
Wash your face with plenty of water before using the turmeric skin mask. Spread all over your face with a brush. If you have dark under eye circles or puffiness, you can also apply this mask over the beneath the eye region.
Let sit the mask for 20 to 30 minutes. In case the mask gets too dry, spray some pure rose water for softening.
Now provide an exfoliating massage with the mask before washing off. Pat dry the skin after washing and use a moisturizer. Remember if you have oily skin, it is wise to use gel or water based moisturizer; on the other hand, if you have dry skin, apply oil based moisturizer lotions.
Besides working on acnes, this particular turmeric skin mask also brightens the skin for bleaching properties of honey and exfoliating agents of gram/rice flour.
The yogurt contains in the mask help settling oily skin smoothly, preventing the natural greasiness oily skin tends to run through.
If you have excessive severe acne break outs in oily skin, honey should be extracted from the face mask.
