Tomatoes to stop oily skin

The salicylic acid contained in tomatoes may help to absorb excess oils from skin and unclog pores.

Apart from applying just tomato pulps or rubbing slices of tomatoes, you can combine 1 tea spoon of sugar of tomatoes to massage in circular motion. Leave the mask for 20 minute before washing off with lukewarm water.



To make an almond face scrub, grind the nuts finely; add one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of water to make a thick paste. Apply in circular motion all along the skin.

Leave for 15-20 minutes before washing.

Tea Tree oil is the best natural element to control facial oil although applying Tea Tree Oil more than necessary amount might cause the skin to dry. This particular oil prevents acne, remove acne blemishes and control eruption of new acnes.


If you want have a fresh skin instantly, cornstarch would be a good solution.

  • Mix at least two teaspoon of cornstarch with lukewarm water making a thick paste.
  • Apply in face and neck with a brush and leave for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Wash off with normal water and apply moisturizer.

People with oily skin must avoid the mistake of choosing harsh cleansers to remove extra oil from upper level of skin; all you need is a gentle cleanser to remove dirt. If skin gets too dry, excessive sebum secretion would be triggered.

And over exfoliating is also harsh and must not be done because it would end up stripping off protective barrier and make skin flaky.

As clogging pores are more common in oily skin, never forget to remove all traces of make ups before bed time.
